4-22-3: APPLICATION:
   A.   Before any license under this article is issued, an application shall be submitted to the City Treasurer. All applications shall be made upon forms provided by the City Treasurer. The City may, at the Treasurer’s discretion, require additional documentation associated with the application as may be deemed necessary. In addition to any other requirements, applicants shall provide the following documentation to the City verifying Short-Term Rental Unit operator and premise information:
      1.   A valid Illinois driver’s license or a valid Illinois state identification card; and
      2.   Proof of ownership of the Short-Term Rental Unit, either by valid warranty deed, mortgage statement, or other verification of the applicant’s ownership of the premises.
      3.   The address and legal description of the proposed Short-Term Rental Unit.
      4.   A site plan showing:
         a.   The location of all existing structures in relation to the property lines, and
         b.   The location of all existing and proposed parking areas and driveways in relation to the property lines and structures.
         c.   An aerial map or hand sketch of the Short-Term Rental Unit property may be deemed sufficient to satisfy the site plan requirement. Upon review, the Treasurer and zoning administrator reserve the right to require additional documentation, including but not limited to a professional land survey, to satisfy the site plan requirement.
      5.   Existing floor plans of all structures on the property.
         a.   A detailed hand sketch of the floor plans indicating the measurements of all rooms within all structures on the property may be deemed sufficient to satisfy the floor plan requirement. Upon review, the Treasurer and zoning administrator reserve the right to require additional documentation, including but not limited to architectural drawings, to satisfy the floor plan requirement.
Any other legal documentation deemed sufficient by the Treasurer which is pertinent to establishing residency. (Ord. 7818, 11-10-2021; amd. Ord. 7878, 4-12-2023)
