A. The street division shall operate as a separate division of the public works department under the direction of the public works director. The duties of the street division shall be assigned by the street maintenance operations supervisor, and they shall include, but not be limited to, the maintenance of all city streets and alleys located on public right of way or easements.
B. The street maintenance operations supervisor shall be qualified by education, knowledge, and experience in the maintenance and construction of streets and alleys. The street maintenance operations supervisor shall be employed under the civil service regulations of the city of Alton. (Ord. 7232, 12-15-2010)
