2-15-1: DEFINITIONS:
In addition to those terms defined in 415 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/3 et seq., the following terms are applicable to this chapter:
ACT: The Illinois environmental protection act, as amended 1 .
APPLICANT: Any person, firm or partnership, association, corporation, company or organization of any kind.
CHAPTER: This chapter.
CITY: The city of Alton, Madison County, Illinois.
CITY COUNCIL: The duly elected corporate authorities of the city of Alton pursuant to title 1, chapter 5 of this code.
COMMITTEE: The duly appointed Alton pollution control facility siting committee.
COUNTY: Madison County, Illinois.
FACILITY: An Alton pollution control facility. (Ord. 6769, 9-24-2003)
