When the final plat conforms to the approved preliminary plat and when the requirements of chapter 3 of this title have been complied with, the city plan commission shall approve said plan and recommend its approval to the city council. If the commission shall find that such final plan does not conform to the approved preliminary plat or the requirements of chapter 3 of this title, it shall specify in writing such objections as are found to such plat and may recommend its disapproval of such plat to the council. The council shall have the right to approve or disapprove any final plat regardless of the city plan commission's recommendation by a simple majority vote. (Ord. 6104, 12-18-1996)
