A subdivider may designate as a remainder that portion of land within the subdivision which is not divided for the purpose of sale, lease or financing. The designated remainder parcel shall not be counted as a parcel for purposes of determining whether a parcel map or final map is required. This section applies to a remainder as defined in § 22.12.180 and is enacted pursuant to Cal. Gov't Code § 66424.6.
