§ 21.12.080 INFORMATION TO BE POSTED AT SITE.
   Each oil well or temporary geological exploratory core hole or tank shall have posted in a conspicuous place on or near such facility a legible sign showing the name of the owner or operator, name or number of the lease, number of the well or hole, and the telephone number where a responsible person may be reached at any time.

§ 21.12.090 FIREPROOF SOUNDPROOFING MATERIALS.
   Where soundproofing material is required during oil field operations, such materials shall be non-combustible, provided that fire retardant treated materials may be used and maintained subject to the approval of the Fire Department.

§ 21.12.100 SMOKING AT DRILL SITES PROHIBITED.
   No person shall smoke, throw, place or dispose of any lighted cigar, cigarette, ash or match within 100 feet of any oil or gas well or production equipment. “NO SMOKING” signs shall be posted and maintained at each well or each drill site.

§ 21.12.110 FIRE EXTINGUISHERS REQUIRED.
   A minimum of two fire extinguishers shall be maintained at all oil well or temporary geological exploratory core hole locations where drilling, servicing or repair work is being conducted. Each such extinguisher shall have a minimum classification of 20 B as set forth in N.B.F.U. No. 10, N.E.P.A. No. 10, “Portable Fire Extinguishers.”

§ 21.12.120 PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN UPON FINDING OIL, GAS.
   When in the course of drilling oil wells or temporary geological core hole drilling or boring operations subterranean areas are tapped which evidence pressures indicative of petroleum, natural gas or other hydrocarbons, the following precautions will be taken immediately:
   (A)   Drilling or boring will be stopped.
   (B)   Blow-out prevention equipment will be actuated.
   (C)   The Fire Department will be called, and upon arrival the officer in command will be thoroughly briefed on the situation.
   (D)   All sources of ignition such as open flame, cutting or welding torches, heat producing devices, sources of sparks and smoking will be secured or removed a safe distance from the drill site.
   (E)   Fire protection equipment will be brought into a position for ready use.
   (F)   Operations shall not be resumed until the Fire Department officer approves.
