(1) Designates a street to be one-way;
(2) Regulates the speed of vehicles in any manner different from the prima facie speed limit applicable by statute;
(3) Designates a stop or yield intersection;
(4) Restricts use of a street as to size, weight or type of vehicle;
(5) Regulates or prohibits the turning of vehicles;
(6) Restricts the passing of vehicles;
(7) Restricts the parking, stopping or standing of vehicles; or
(8) Is any other traffic regulation requiring the erection of signs pursuant to I.C. 9-21-1-3 or another statute;
(B) It shall be the duty of the Town Marshal or other town officer so directed by the Town Council (in the case of general regulations adopted under § 70.04), the person or entity made responsible under the agreement or contract (in the case of regulations adopted under § 70.05) or the operator of the affected private entrance (in the case of regulations adopted under § 70.06) to erect and maintain at such locations standard traffic-control signs, signals, markings or devices in accordance with the Uniform Traffic Control Manual of the State of Indiana. The cost of erecting and maintaining the signs, markings or devices shall be borne in accordance with the provisions of the contract or agreement in the case of regulations adopted under § 70.05. In fulfillment of any requirement under § 70.06, the operator of the affected private entrance may himself or herself erect and maintain the required sign or signal at his or her expense, or may elect to have the town do so upon payment of appropriate costs as determined by the Town Council. In addition, the Town Marshal, with the approval of the Town Council, may erect and maintain on town streets or other areas under town traffic jurisdiction such traffic-control signs as he or she deems necessary to remind motorists of applicable traffic statutes and promote the observance and enforcement of traffic regulations provided by state law.
