(A) When determining the number and location of fire hydrants necessary to provide the required fire flow, Fire Chief, the Fire Marshal and/or his or her designee(s) shall use App. C, Fire Hydrant Locations and Distribution, of the current FPBSC adopted Fire Code.
(B) Fire hydrants shall only be used for fire protection, or as so directed by the water utility having jurisdiction.
(C) Fire hydrants shall be kept clear and accessible at all times.
(D) Where the codes adopted by the FPBSC or this chapter requires three or more hydrants for proper fire-flow, those hydrants shall be placed in a loop series in regards to the servicing water mains.
