§ 51.009 FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   General.
      (1)   There are special requirements in the town with regards to Fire Department connections that are specific to the response area. These requirements are designed to standardize the location of all Fire Department connections in an effect to make it safer for firefighting crews when confronted with a structure fire.
      (2)   As permitted by the Indiana Fire Code, 675 I.A.C. 22, the Fire Department shall be consulted prior to placing the Fire Department connection at a specific location. This should also be noted on the site and sprinkler plans submitted to the Fire Marshal.
      (3)   Fire Department connections shall be installed where required by and in accordance with the rules of the FPBSC at the time of installation. In addition, Fire Department connection specifications shall comply with this chapter.
      (4)   The Fire Department shall be notified prior to installing any Fire Department connection. Plans indicating proposed Fire Department connection locations shall be submitted to the Fire Prevention Division for review and approval during the fire protection permit process.
   (B)   Location and installation. The servicing Fire Department shall be consulted before placing the Fire Department hose connections at any location.
