(A) No person shall drive a vehicle on a highway or street at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent under the conditions then existing.
(B) It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle in excess of 20 mph in any business district.

It shall be unlawful to drive a motor vehicle at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent under the conditions then existing upon the grounds and premises, including any driveway, road, roadway, street or alley upon any grounds and premises, of any public or private hospital, school, church, institution maintained and supported by the state, the town, or any of their subdivisions, service station, drive-in theater, supermarket, store, shopping center, restaurant or office building, or any other business or municipal establishment, providing parking space for customers, patrons or the public, within the town.

The driver of a vehicle shall not back the same into an intersection or over a crosswalk and shall not in any event or at any place back a vehicle unless the movement can be made in safety.

Pursuant to the provisions of G.S. § 20-169, on a street at any intersection where traffic has been channelized by lines painted on the street, or direction of traffic is indicated by arrows painted on the street, drivers of vehicles shall observe the direction of every like painted sign, and in preparation for a turn before approaching the intersection shall, with proper regard for the safety of others using the street, move into the proper allocated lane at least 50 feet before reaching the intersection, and shall make no turn to either right or left unless within a lane in which the turn is permitted.

The driver of a vehicle emerging from an alley, driveway or building shall stop the vehicle immediately prior to reaching the sidewalk, or the sidewalk areas extending across any alleyway, and, upon entering the roadway, he or she shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles approaching on the roadway.
