539.02 EXCEPTIONS.
   The wording in the definitions in Section 539.01 to the contrary notwithstanding, the terms and provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the following:
   (a)    To the rental of housing accommodations in his personal residence by the owner or occupier thereof when occupied by him as a bona fide family forming his household.
   (b)    To the rental of housing accommodations in a building or structure or portion thereof containing living quarters occupied or intended to be occupied by no more than two individuals, two groups, or two families living independently of each other and one of which is occupied by the owner thereof as a bona fide residence for himself and any members of his family forming his household.
   (c)    To the sale of his personal residence by the owner unless advertised in any manner or way and/or held or offered for sale by a real estate broker, salesman, or agent, or by any other person pursuant to authorization of the owner.
and said definitions and the other terms and provisions of this chapter shall be presumed to exclude the same. (Ord. 06-83. Passed 7-10-06.)
