1311.06 EXAMINATION AND LICENSE REGISTRATION FEES.
   (a)    The Institution under agreement with the City shall establish and collect all fees associated with the examination which must be administered for all Classes of Licenses and Certificates a minimum of once each calendar year. Advertisement for the Examination shall be by a local media a minimum of four consecutive weeks prior to the date of the Examination and shall be the responsibility of the Institution. The City Division of Building and Code Enforcement shall also be notified in writing of any and all examination fees and dates.
   (b)    License Fees and Renewal Fees.   
      (1)   State Licensed Electrician. There shall be no license fee or renewal fee for State License holders. License holders must register with the City of Zanesville to obtain permits and perform electrical work on either residential or commercial projects within the City of Zanesville Corporation Limits per the requirements of Chapter 1312 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Zanesville.
      (2)   Master Electrician. The license fee shall be sixty dollars ($60.00) with an annual renewal fee of forty dollars ($40.00). The license fees shall be waived for Master Electricians that register as a business entity with the City of Zanesville to obtain permits and perform electrical work on residential projects within the City of Zanesville Corporation Limits per the requirements of Chapter 1312 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Zanesville.
      (3)   Journeyman Electrician. The license fee shall be forty dollars ($40.00) with an annual renewal fee of thirty dollars ($30.00).
      (4)   Apprentice. The license fee shall be thirty dollars ($30.00) with an annual renewal fee of twenty dollars ($20.00).
      (5)   Electric Appliance Dealer/ Serviceman's License. The license fee shall be thirty dollars ($30.00) with an annual renewal fee of twenty dollars ($20.00).
      (6)   All licenses will expire midnight December 31 of each calendar year and shall be renewed by March 1 of each year and the new license fee for each category shall apply. Licenses expired for more than two years will not be renewed without authorization from the Building Official of the City of Zanesville. Proof of continued employment, continuing education or additional testing may be required.
      (7)   Electricians employed as trainees, apprentices, or journeymen in a recognized Trade Union training program shall be exempt from the license fee requirements.
