Five classes of licenses or certificates thereof shall be issued and/or honored. They shall be designated respectively: State Electrical License, Master Electrician License, Journeyman Electrical License, Apprentice Electrical Certificate; and Electrical Appliance Dealer/Serviceman's License.
(a) A State Electrical License shall entitle the holder thereof to perform the work of and engage in the business of electrical contracting and to secure commercial and residential permits for installation, alteration and repair of any electrical wiring, device, appliance, or equipment. No holder of such license may use it for more than one organization at a time.
(b) A Master Electrician's License shall entitle the holder thereof to perform the work of and engage in the business of electrical contracting and to secure residential permits for installation, alteration, and repair of any electrical wiring, device, appliance, or equipment. No holder of such license may use it for more than one organization at a time.
(c) A Journeyman's Electrician's License shall entitle the holder thereof to install, maintain, alter, and repair electrical wiring, devices, appliances, and equipment only when in the employ of a State or Master Electrical Licensee or an Electrical Contractor having a State or Master Electrical Licensee in the organization.
(d) An Apprentice Electrician's Certificate shall entitle the holder thereof to perform electrical work under the direct supervision of and accompanied by a State, Master, or Journeyman Licensee. The number of apprentices in an organization shall not exceed the aggregate number of State, Master and Journeymen Licensees in that organization.
(e) Electrical Appliance Dealer/Serviceman's License shall entitle the holder in the course of their business of selling or servicing of electrical appliances to secure permits and to perform the work of installing an approved outlet served from existing capacity at the panel or service for the sole purpose of supplying electrical power to the appliance only.
