Membership shall consist of five members approved and appointed by the Mayor: one arborist, urban forester, agronomist, landscape specialist or other tree expert; one representative of the City's historic districts or downtown; three other members of the general populace who have an interest in shade trees. If any of these positions cannot be filled after reasonable search, appointment shall be made from the general interested public. One shall be appointed member for a three-year term, two members for two-year terms and two members for one-year terms. Following the initial appointment, all appointments shall be for two years.
