(a) The proper City official is hereby authorized to allow the removal of firewood and mulch from the City Street Garage complex located at 1084 Central Avenue on a first come, first served basis, based on availability. The proper City official may also allow the pickup of downed trees on other City-owned property at his discretion.
(b) Persons interested should contact the City street garage to request the material, which can be dump loaded onto privately-owned vehicles for removal, or the individual may hand load firewood themselves once approved by the Street Superintendent. To acquire downed wood on other City owned property prior approval from the Public Service Director is required. It is wholly the property owner’s responsibility to follow City, County, State and Federal regulations applicable to acceptance of such materials and each request shall require the property owner to sign an agreement for accepting the material and a waiver releasing the City from any consequences regarding liability.
(c) Based on availability, the material may be accessed during normal weekday business hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The City shall be exempted from any liability resulting from the acceptance or loading of firewood or any adverse results from the use of the mulch.
