Trees are a major capital asset to the City. Trees assist in the mitigation of air and noise pollution, reduction of flooding, increase of property value and aesthetic beauty. It is the purpose of this chapter to provide regulations for the planting, preservation, pruning, trimming and removal of trees located in the public rights of way, City-owned property and in Historic Overlay Districts.
