(a) The Director may suspend wastewater treatment service to any person if an actual or threatened discharge presents a substantial danger to the public health or the environment, if it interferes with the operation of the sewage works, or if it violates any provisions of this chapter.

(b) Any person notified of the suspension of service shall cease all discharges within a period of time specified by the Director. If a person fails to comply with the suspension order within the specified time, the Director may immediately commence judicial proceedings, including but not necessarily limited to requesting injunctive relief, to assure compliance with the order.
