(A) A cut-off valve will be placed by YCWSD at the time of making a complete service connection at the property line, or right-of-way line. This valve is to be under the control of the owner or tenant and is to be used in case of a break, or other necessity, whereby pipes to be repaired can be cut off without using the YCWSD curb cut-off valve located in the meter box.
(B) This is not intended to take the place of the ordinary stop and waste valve located within the premises for the purpose of draining the pipes to prevent damage from freezing.
