The legislature of the state of Nevada has in Nevada Revised Statutes sections 278.020 and 543.020 conferred upon local government units authority to adopt regulations designed to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare of its citizenry. Therefore, the city does hereby adopt the following flood plain management regulations. (1973 Code § 18.01.010; amd. 2001 Code)
