All licenses issued pursuant to this chapter shall be posted and kept, by the licensee, in a conspicuous place in or about the place of business of the person, firm, association or corporation who obtained the same; and, on demand, during the usual hours of business must be exhibited to the city clerk, chief of police, or to any other officer of the city whose duty it is to enforce the provisions of this chapter or to collect the fees imposed under the provisions of this chapter.
