It is unlawful for any person, either for himself or for any other person, to commence or to carry on any business, trade, occupation, calling or amusement or to advertise that he is doing so, without first having obtained a license from the city, and without complying with any and all federal, state and local regulations pertaining to such business, trade, occupation, calling or amusement as contained in this chapter. The carrying on of any business, trade, occupation, calling or amusement for which a license is required by this chapter without first having procured a license from the city to do so and without complying with any and all regulations contained in this chapter shall constitute a separate violation of this chapter for each and every day that such business, trade, occupation, calling or amusement is so carried on.
