A. Designation: The commission of any act within the city or the failure to perform any act within the city which is made a misdemeanor by the laws of the state constitutes a misdemeanor. (1973 Code § 1.20.010)
B. Violation; Penalty: Whenever in this code or in any ordinance of the city, or in any rule or regulation promulgated pursuant thereto, any act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor, or whenever in such code, ordinance, rule or regulation the doing of any act is required or the failure to do any act is declared unlawful, when no specific penalty is provided therefor, the violation of any such provision of this code or any ordinance or of any such rule or regulation shall be punished by a fine of any sum less than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or imprisonment for a term not exceeding six (6) months or both such fine and imprisonment. C. Continuing Violation: Each day any violation of any provision of this code or of any ordinance shall continue shall constitute a separate offense. (1973 Code § 1.12.010)
