The fire chief shall establish regulations for burning within the city of Yerington. No person shall kindle or maintain any fire for the purpose of weed abatement, conservation, disease control, game or forest management, personnel training, elimination of hazards, agricultural purposes and management, recreational, educational or ceremonial purposes or authorize any such fire to be kindled or maintained on any public or private land without first having obtained a permit from the Mason Valley fire district.
