4-5-7: TANK CONSTRUCTION:
Tanks used for the storage of fuel aboveground shall conform to all the following tank specifications and meet with the approval of the chief of the fire department. All tanks must carry an official certification from a recognized testing laboratory:
   A.   Steel tanks shall be UL listed.
   B.   Steel tanks must meet requirements of NFPA 30 for aboveground tanks.
   C.   Steel tanks shall have six inch (6") emergency vents as required by NFPA 30.
   D.   Steel tanks shall be rectangular.
   E.   Steel tank openings shall be threaded, except for detector tubes.
   F.   Steel tanks and secondary containments shall be encased in six inches (6") of reinforced concrete.
   G.   Vaults shall have the capability of physical monitoring between primary and secondary containment.
   H.   Vaults shall be placed on reinforced concrete or 10-gauge steel drip pans.
   I.   Vaults shall have exterior protective epoxy coating.
   J.   Vaults shall have warning signs.
   K.   UL listed internal overfill. (1973 Code § 8.17.070)
