(a) Rejection. Where the character of wastewater from any facility, building, structure or premises is such that it will damage the sanitary sewer utility, mains, lift stations, or any part of the sanitary sewer system or is such that it cannot be satisfactorily treated by the sanitary sewer utility, as determined by the Public Service Director, the Director is hereby authorized and granted the authority to compel the facility, building, structure or premises to otherwise dispose of such wastewater and prevent it from entering the City's sanitary sewer system.
(b) Pretreatment. Where the character of wastewater from any facility, building, structure or premises is such that it imposes an unreasonable burden upon the sanitary sewer utility, mains, lift stations, or any part of the sanitary sewer system and such burden is greater than that imposed by normal wastewater, as determined by the Public Service Director, the Director is hereby authorized and granted the authority to compel the facility, building, structure or premises to comply with the requirements of Chapter 1016.
