(a) The membership of the Promote Wyoming Commission shall consist of eleven members, who shall be residents of the City. Ten of the members shall be chosen by a majority of the members of Council, with backgrounds and expertise in areas such as marketing, public relations, event planning, graphic design, and real estate. The remaining member shall be a member of Council selected by the Mayor.
(1) The initial term of office for the members shall be that three members shall be appointed for an initial term of one year; four members shall be appointed for an initial term of two years and four members shall be appointed for an initial term of three years all beginning January 1, 2015 with all appointments after the initial term being for three years.
(2) In the event of a planned absence of the appointed City Council representative, the City Manager shall designate another City Council member to serve in such absent City Council member's absence. Such substitute Council member shall have the same powers to act and vote on all matters coming before the Commission.
(b) The Promote Wyoming Commission shall select on a yearly basis a chairperson, vice chairperson, and secretary.
