(A) A certain document, one copy of which is on file in the City Clerk’s office being marked and designated as the 2015 Michigan Residential Code, including all appendices, is hereby referred to, adopted by the city and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this subchapter, pursuant to the provisions of the State Construction Code, in accordance with § 8b (6) of Public Act 230 of 1972, being M.C.L.A. § 125.1508b(6).
(B) The purpose of this code is to regulate the fabrication, erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, location and use of detached one- and two-family dwellings, their appurtenances and accessory structures and providing for the issuance of permits and therefore providing penalties for the violation thereof.
(C) The adoption of the 2015 Michigan Residential Code is done in accordance with M.C.L.A. § 117.3(k).
