§ 170.021 ADOPTION OF THE MICHIGAN BUILDING CODE.
   (A)   A certain document, one copy of which is on file in the City Clerk’s office, being marked and designated as the 2015 Michigan Building Code, including Appendices F, G, and H, is hereby referred to, adopted by the city and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this subchapter, pursuant to the provisions of the State Construction Code, in accordance with § 8b(6) of Public Act 230 of 1972, being M.C.L.A. § 125.1508b(6).
   (B)   The purpose of this code is to establish minimum regulations governing the design, construction, alteration, enlargement, repair, demolition, removal, maintenance and use of all buildings and structures; providing for the issuance of permits, collection of fees, making of inspections; and therefore providing penalties for the violation thereof.
   (C)   The adoption of the 2015 Michigan Building Code is done in accordance with M.C.L.A. § 117.3(k).
