For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
MERCHANT AND RETAILER. Any person, firm, corporation, partnership or other legal entity which engages in the retail sale of goods, wares, property or merchandise.
MERCHANT’S AUCTION. Any sale or offering for sale of property by a merchant or retailer to the highest bidder or offering for sale of property at a high price and then offering the same at successive lower prices until a buyer is secured.
