It is the intent of the city to protect the health and safety of the public against the risks that dangerous and potentially dangerous dogs pose to persons and other animals in the city. Further, it is the intent of the city to afford dog owners due process when the owner’s animal is classified as a dangerous or potentially dangerous dog.
