The city, as a member of the Downriver Central Animal Control Agency (DCACA) through adoption of an interlocal agreement, deeming it advisable in the interest of protecting the public health and safety and welfare and to regulate and control the conduct, keeping and care of animals, does hereby adopt the following revised animal control chapter, which is to be enforced by the Animal Control Officer’s/employee’s of the Downriver Central Animal Control Agency, under the direction of the Chief Animal Control Officer. This chapter shall be known as the “Downriver Central Animal Control Agency Ordinance”.
