§ 51.005 ACCUMULATION OF YARD WASTE.
   Yard waste may be stored for composting purposes in a manner which will not harbor rodents, subject adjacent property owners to an unreasonably offensive odor, or become a public nuisance. Individual backyard compost systems must be located in a rear yard, as defined by Ch. 159 of this code of ordinances, and be at least 30 feet from any dwelling including the dwellings of neighboring properties. Garbage is not allowed in the compost system. Violations of this section shall be abated in accordance with § 51.008 of this chapter.
