The city, subsequent to 2-1-1990, shall become a reciprocal community under the state’s Reciprocal Retirement Act, Public Act 88 of 1961, as amended, and as the same might from time to time be amended, said act providing for the preservation and continuity of retirement system service credits for public employees who transfer their employment between units of government.
