There is hereby established a Police Officer and Firefighter Division to cover the participation of police officer and firefighter members in the retirement system, a Hospital Division to cover the participation of hospital members, a Municipal Service Division to cover the participation of municipal service members and a General Division to cover the participation of general members. Separate accounting controls shall be maintained in the Annuity Savings Fund, Pension Reserve Fund and Retirement Reserve Fund for each division. The maintaining of separate accounting controls for the divisions shall not cause the assets of the retirement system to be segregated in the divisions.
