(A) Upon receiving an application for a certificate under this subchapter, the Building Official or his or her designee shall cause all necessary inspections of the premises to be made to ascertain if the premises are in a safe, sound and sanitary condition in accordance with all applicable provisions of state statues and this code.
(B) An inspection of businesses that exist and have a certificate of occupancy prior to the adoption of this business regulation title is not required.
