§ 177.002 MEMBERS.
   (A)   (1)   The city’s Planning Commission shall be composed of nine members, whom shall insofar as possible, represent different professions and occupations. Members shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the Council. The term of each member shall be three years and until his or her successor is appointed.
      (2)   Vacancies occurring otherwise than through the expiration of the term shall be filled for the unexpired term by appointment by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the Council.
      (3)   The members shall serve without compensation; except that, they may be reimbursed for any actual expense paid in the performance of their duties.
   (B)   Members may be suspended and removed after a public hearing in accordance with the provisions of the Charter.
   (C)   Vacancies occurring other than through the expiration of a term shall be filled for the unexpired portion of the term by appointment of the Mayor, subject to the approval of the Council.
   (D)   Members shall serve without compensation; except that, they may be reimbursed for actual expenses paid in the performance of their duties.
