§ 152.063 ELECTRICAL STANDARDS.
   (A)   The following shall be the minimum standards for electrical fixtures, wiring, and the like:
      (1)   No receptacles, ceiling fixtures, or other fixtures hanging loose.
      (2)   All switches and fixtures safely operable.
      (3)   No unsafe wiring.
      (4)   No extension cords shall be spliced.
      (5)   No circuits shall be overloaded.
      (6)   Fuses sized correctly and not bridged out.
      (7)   All wiring to be installed shall be in accordance with the National Electrical Code and the Electrical Code of the County of New Hanover.
      (8)   All wiring shall be maintained in a safe condition.
      (9)   Sufficient outlets for existing usage shall be provided.
      (10)   No electrical connections below 14.7 feet mean sea level.
   (B)   Where the determination is made, upon examination of the existing electrical service supply, that such electrical service supply is obsolete or is a hazard to the occupants or would otherwise constitute a hazard to life and property, the following shall be used for determining the adequacy of such service supply and main disconnect switch:

100 amp service at 230 volts
25 - 50
200 amp service at 230 volts
 
   (C)   The minimum capacity of the service supply and the main disconnect switch shall be sufficient to adequately carry the total load required in accordance with the Electrical Code of the County of New Hanover.
