The following shall be the minimum standards for heating:
(A) All gas and oil heating equipment listed by Underwriters Laboratories, National Warm Air Heating Code, or American Gas Association and installed as approved.
(B) As to multi-family housing, liquid fuel to be stored in outside tanks and piped to heating units.
(C) No loose bricks in chimney.
(D) No hanging masonry chimneys.
(E) No holes in flue.
(F) Thimbles grouted in tight.
(G) Thimbles high enough for stovepipe to rise 1/4-inch per foot minimum.
(H) Combustible materials shall not be placed within six inches of the edges of a fireplace opening. Combustible material above the face of the fireplace opening shall have a minimum clearance of 12 inches above the opening.
(I) Fireplace used only for supplemental heat and not for basic heating.
(J) Masonry closure, if fireplace opening closed.
(K) Stove within six feet of thimble serving it.
(L) No combustible materials within 18 inches of stovepipe, 12 inches from lath and plaster surfaces.
(M) No stovepipe through combustible walls.
