At the time any person acquires a permit issued under the provisions of this chapter or G.S. § 160A-417, the person shall pay a fee as set out in the Official Building Permit Fee Schedule as approved by the Board of Aldermen and amended from time to time, a copy of which shall be retained permanently in the office of the Building Inspector.
