§ 95.16 COLLECTION OF HOUSEHOLD FURNITURE AND APPLIANCES.
   (A)   Any person desiring the collection of normal household discarded furniture and appliances which cannot otherwise be prepared for collection pursuant to the other sections of this chapter shall request collection by calling the Department of Public Works.
   (B)   Items for collection shall be placed at the curbside no earlier than the day preceding the scheduled collection date as established by the Department. Furniture includes couches, chairs, tables, beds, springs, mattresses, chests, and similar items. Such items may be broken down and bundled or neatly stacked. Appliances include refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and similar items.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful for any person to place or have outside any building or dwelling, any icebox, refrigerator, or any other container of any kind which has an airtight snap lock or other device thereon, without first removing the snap lock or other device or removing doors from the icebox, refrigerator, or other container.
   (D)   A fee shall be charged for disposing of any and all of the above items as prescribed by the Board of Aldermen.
