(A) Any person desiring collection of yard trash shall arrange it for easy handling as provided for in this section, and shall place it within three feet of the curbing or the edge of those streets having no curbing. Grass, leaves and other loose items shall be placed in heavy refuse bags. Brush, shrubbery trimmings and limbs of less than four-foot lengths shall be bundled or shall be placed in containers or heavy refuse bags. Tree limbs and other similar materials for collection shall be cut in four- to five-foot lengths, with protruding branches trimmed and placed in an orderly, neat manner near the curb. In no instance shall an object be in excess of six inches in diameter nor heavier than 75 pounds. Objects in excess of six inches in diameter or heavier than 75 pounds shall be treated as mixed and miscellaneous waste. Yard trash removal for large scale trimming of shrubbery may be arranged by calling the Department of Public Works, and paying the established fee.
(B) Corrugated board, kraft board, wooden crates, or other similar rubbish shall be flattened and tied in bundles of a size that can be handled by one man or placed in either plastic bags or refuse receptacles after being flattened.
(C) Building materials which have accumulated from the construction, improvement, repair, or demolition of any structure shall not be collected by the town. Prior to the issuance of a certificate of occupancy on new construction, or in any case all such material shall be removed by the owner of the property or by the building contractor regularly and no more than one cubic yard (three feet by three feet by three feet) shall be allowed to accumulate on site at any one time.
(D) No collection will be made under this section except in strict compliance with the terms of this section.
