Any person parking a vehicle registered in his or her name or which vehicle is under his or her control in a parking meter space located in a designated parking meter zone shall pay the required fee. It shall be unlawful for any person to park as described in the preceding sentence without paying the required fee. For the purposes of this chapter and the attached schedules, a reference to parking in a “metered space”, “parking meter space” or “meter space” shall include parking in a parking meter space or any other space for which payment of a fee is required.
