(A) Any applicant shall have the right to appeal the denial of a special event permit, the conditions of a special event permit, or the revocation of a special event permit to the Board of Aldermen. The appealing party shall make the appeal within five business days after receipt of the decision by filing a written notice with the Special Events Coordinator and a copy of the notice with the Town Clerk. The Board of Aldermen shall act upon the appeal at the next scheduled meeting occurring four or more business days following receipt of the notice of the appeal.
(B) The appeal shall be a quasi-judicial proceeding.
(C) In the event that the Board of Aldermen rejects an applicant’s appeal, the applicant may file an immediate request for review with a court of competent jurisdiction.
