141.05 DIVISION OF FIRE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.
   The Division of Fire and Emergency Medical Services shall be under the direction of a Fire Chief who shall be accountable to the Director of Safety. He/She shall perform the following duties:
   (a)   Formulate and administer procedures pertaining to the enforcement of rules and regulations for the government and operation of the Division of Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
   (b)   Be responsible for fire suppression, emergency medical services, emergency environmental control, rescue services, fire and safety education, fire prevention and inspection.
   (c)   Have control of the assignment and scheduling of all employees of the Division.
   (d)   Provide for the training and instruction of the officers and employees of the Division.
   (e)   Act as a liaison with governmental and private agencies and institutions associated with the provision of fire and emergency services.
   (f)   Meet on a regular basis with the Medical Director of the Division to ensure proper licensing and certifications required by the State for the provision of emergency medical service.
   (g)   Perform such other duties as the Director of Safety may require.
