1335.09 PERMIT REQUIREMENT EXCEPTIONS.

   The requirements of Section 1335.08 shall not be applicable to the following work unless done as a part of new construction, additions, alterations or repairs for which a building permit has been issued by the Division.

   (a)    Repairs to existing approved heating and ventilating work.

   (b)    Normal operation and maintenance of manufacturing or industrial plants, or other institutions maintaining a heating or ventilating staff, not including permanent installations of heating or ventilating done as a part of the construction of new buildings or the reconstruction of existing buildings involving a change in occupancy.

   (c)    Normal maintenance or repair to existing heating and ventilating done by a property owner himself upon his single-family residence.

   (d)    Service conducted by a public utility company related to service contracts on existing equipment involving start up or shutdown where no changes are made as extensions of equipment.
