§ 150.079 CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTION.
   The certificate of inspection shall contain the date of such inspection, but no such certificate shall be issued until the work shall be in strict conformity with the rules and regulations of the National Board of Fire Underwriters for Electric Wiring, as hereinbefore set forth, and such rules and regulations as may be adopted and approved by the City Council from time to time, nor shall electrical current be turned on such work until such final certificate be issued; and further, no certificate shall be issued unless:
   (A)   All electrical construction, all materials, all appliances used in connection with electrical work, and the operation of all electrical apparatus shall be in conformity with the rules and regulations of the National Board of Fire Underwriters for electric wiring and apparatus as recommended by the National Fire Protection Association, known as National Electrical Code as the same are now or may be from time to time established by the body, and said rules and regulations are hereby adopted and approved as the specifications governing electrical construction under this subchapter and in addition thereto such rules and regulations as may be adopted by the City Council from time to time;
   (B)   Within the fire zone, as established, or as may be established, by the City Council, all new wiring or alterations shall, in existing or old residence, be of romex or conduit; in all existing or old commercial buildings shall be of rigid conduit, metallic raceway, flexible metallic raceway, or greenfield; in all buildings, or new additions to existing structures, it shall be of rigid conduit. Upon application, the Board of Examiners may approve the installation of any material or construction equivalent or superior to that listed above. B.X. circuit wiring is not approved;
   (C)   The wiring in, or on, all buildings outside the fire zone, used as a place of public gatherings, business establishments, or buildings built for the housing and occupancy of four or more families, shall be enclosed in approved rigid conduit for new construction and metallic raceway, flexible metallic raceway, or greenfield, for repairs or alterations. B.X. circuit wiring is not approved; and
   (D)   One inspection shall be made on the roughing-in work.
