§ 96.35 RESTORING SURFACE.
   (A)   Any person, firm, or corporation making any cut on any public street, alley, or other public place in the city backed by an acceptable surety bond as provided herein shall restore the surface to its original condition, if there is no pavement there. Fills shall be properly tamped down in accordance with the City Engineer’s specifications for backfilling and any bracing in such cut shall be left in the ground.
   (B)   Any opening in a paved or improved portion of a street shall be repaired and the surface relaid by the applicant, in compliance with the specifications of the city and under the supervision of the Director of Public Services.
