5-7-5: FIREWORKS 1 :
   A.   Prohibited Generally: It shall be unlawful to sell, offer for sale, store, use, explode or possess any fireworks as defined by the Illinois Compiled Statutes in the village, except as may be necessary for the performance of a licensed public exhibition of pyrotechnics as hereinafter provided. Any such storage must be under the supervision of and subject to the approval of the village chief of police and the state fire marshal. (1976 Code §10-7; amd. Ord. 2001-14, 4-26-2001)
   B.   Public Displays 2 : Public exhibitions of fireworks and pyrotechnics may be given if a permit therefor is granted by the mayor and board of trustees. Such exhibitions shall be given subject to the supervision of the state fire marshal or some person designated by him. (1976 Code §10-7)
