The following words as used in this article shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them unless a different meaning is required by the context:
FOOD TRUCK: A readily movable, motorized wheeled vehicle, or a towed wheeled vehicle, designed and equipped to serve food and which has obtained all required state and local licenses for the operation of said food truck.
PEDDLER: Any person engaged in the act of peddling.
PEDDLING: The act of traveling by foot, motor vehicle or any other type of conveyance, from place to place, from house to house or from street to street carrying, conveying or transporting goods, wares or merchandise, offering and exposing the same for sale, or making sales and delivering articles to purchasers or, without traveling from place to place, the selling or offering for sale of goods, wares or merchandise from a motor vehicle or other type of conveyance. Peddling shall not include "charitable solicitation" by "charitable organizations" as those terms are defined in section 3-5B-1 of this chapter. Charitable solicitation shall be governed by the provisions of article B of this chapter. Peddling shall also include the operations of licensed food trucks as defined herein. (Ord. 84-59, §1; amd.
