157.13 EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN TRAINING.
   (a)   Each active member of the Fire Department who is certified as a basic Emergency Medical Technician who while an active member of the Village Fire Department registers for and attends and completes and successfully passes and is certified as an intermediate Emergency Medical Technician shall receive a one-time lump sum payment as a reimbursement of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00). Should the receiver fail to work as an active member of the Village Fire Department for two years immediately following the certification, the two hundred fifty dollar ($250.00) payment shall be reimbursed to the Village in a lump sum payment.
   (b)   Each active member of the Fire Department who is certified as an intermediate Emergency Medical Technician who while an active member of the Village Fire Department registers for and attends and completes and successfully passes and is certified as a Paramedic shall receive a one-time lump sum payment as a reimbursement of five hundred dollars ($500.00). Should the receiver fail to work as an active member of the Village Fire Department for the two years immediately following the certification, the five hundred dollar ($500.00) payment shall be reimbursed to the Village in a lump sum payment.
